The company describes it as wetlands full of wildlife. The name is close to a literal translation of the real place's nickname: the Everglades are known as the river of grass.

The Everglades are a subtropical wetland in south Florida, with alligators, birds and an ecosystem you cross by airboat. It is the kind of open non-urban space the desert and Mount Chiliad filled in GTA V.
