In the surrounding backwoods Rockstar places hillbilly mystics and paranoid radicals living far from the prying eyes of the government. It is the only confirmed region that breaks with the coast-and-wetland image of the rest.

Every modern GTA has had its mountain: Mount Chiliad in San Andreas and in GTA V, with a cable car, trails and a mythology of its own among players. That is series HISTORY, not a promise about this game.

What is still unknown
There is no confirmed height and no published map, and Rockstar has not said whether the summit is reachable on foot. That the hunting, fishing and off-roading are playable systems rather than scenery is a reasonable expectation, not a fact.
