A dark gray squirrel climbs a pine trunk, out of focus, in Mount Kalaga National Park
Mammals9 of 11

It is out of focus, on the trunk at the right, so the species cannot be told. Rockstar does not name it among the species. In the real world, Florida has two large tree squirrels: the eastern gray squirrel, very common in parks and neighborhoods, and the fox squirrel, larger and with a very variable coat that can range from gray to black with a white face. Florida's fox squirrel prefers open pine forests and has become scarce as that habitat disappears.

Trivia

  • It appears in the official Mount Kalaga National Park 03 screenshot released by Rockstar, on the trunk at the right.
  • It is out of focus: you cannot tell whether it is a gray squirrel or a fox squirrel.
