Raul Bautista: the bank robber of GTA VI

That he is a seasoned bank robber constantly on the hunt for talent. The company defines him with three words, confidence, charm and cunning, and mentions no organization behind him: the crew is his own.

In LOVE magazine's interview (October 2026), Rupert Humphries, senior VP of narrative, explains why he exists. Jason and Lucia are young and lack the experience for the big heists people expect from GTA, so Rockstar created Raul as the veteran who brings them into that world. He is also the one who knows Vice City when they arrive, and Humphries says he brings a "knowing Miami-cool" they don't have.

His bio says his recklessness raises the stakes with every score, and that sooner or later his crew will have to double down or pull their chips from the table. Rockstar rarely telegraphs that a character will force a decision; with him it does so in writing.

We now know he is the one who brings Jason and Lucia into the big heists, but not which banks, whether heists are missions or a system with setups, or how things end between the three of them.
