Cyberleek says it won't leak GTA VI's full build or ending: "The leeks stop here. For now"

The leaker has called off its threat to upload the whole game after its coin missed $30 million. It claims to have the ending and a "dead man's switch," but hasn't shown any proof.

Status: Report. Cyberleek posted this on its own Telegram channel, which we're not linking. Nothing it says about the ending or its coin can be verified, and Rockstar and Take-Two haven't commented.

For four days, the most serious threat hanging over GTA VI came with a number attached: $30 million. If Cyberleek's coin hit that market cap, it promised to upload the whole game, more than 200 GB of it. At 1:31 p.m. UK time today, the leaker called that threat off. In three text images under one title, "The End of the Road," it says there will be no build, that it's keeping the ending to itself, and that the leaks "stop here. For now."

What the message says

Part one is about money. Cyberleek admits it sold twice but insists it was only trading fees, "as always announced," and blames the coin's collapse on everyone who sold after it. It repeats a line it has used before: the token was "a donation, never an investment." Then it turns on the people accusing it of a rugpull, meaning running off with buyers' money: "Mostly YouTubers. They have no idea what they are talking about."

Part two is the unsettling one. It claims to have the game's ending and says it considered posting it, but won't, because that would punish players "who did nothing wrong." As proof, it says its latest clips come from the final missions and reveal nothing out of context. Then the warning: a "dead man's switch" loaded with story spoilers is active, and it only fires if someone takes Cyberleek down.

Part three shuts the door on the build. The coin never reached $30 million, so no upload, and it admits doing that anonymously was "a serious risk." It complains about "the negativity" and how few people believe anything real is behind this, and signs off: "The Edict stands. The leeks stop here. For now."

How we got here

Cyberleek started posting GTA VI material on August 18. Since then, Take-Two has sought subpoenas against Microsoft, Discord, Google and X to identify it, and Rockstar acknowledged the leak on August 26. We cover all of it in who is Cyberleek.

It seemed to vanish in early October, then came back on the 8th with almost 25 minutes of footage (our story). On the 11th it raised the stakes, threatening to release the full game if its coin reached $30 million unless Take-Two shipped it on disc and apologized (VGC). The next day it posted a "roadmap" pricing every future clip (Forbes). The coin went the other way, losing half its value in 24 hours to about $2.2 million (Kotaku).

The last day was busy too. Yesterday it claimed, without showing anything, that the PC version launches on January 17; the serious report, from GamesBeat, only says the first quarter of 2027 (our story). This morning, shortly before signing off, it posted a roughly four-minute clip of Lucia at a barbershop, a bar and a sportswear store (The Daily Game News). The store has a "Vice City" basketball jersey some fans link to the Heat's uniform. That's a rumor, and we're discussing it in this thread.

What we can't take at face value

  • That it has the ending. It hasn't shown anything that proves it. Clips that "reveal nothing" are exactly what we'd see whether it has the ending or not.
  • The "dead man's switch." It's a threat. There's no way to know if it exists or what it holds.
  • Its account of the coin. It says the chain is public and proves its case. We haven't audited it, and calling a token people buy and sell a donation doesn't change what it is.
  • That it's really stopping. The "for now" is there for a reason, and it has already disappeared once only to return a week later.

Why it matters

If you want to reach November 19 without spoilers, this is the best news this saga has produced. The threat of the whole game landing online a month early is gone, at least for now. But the farewell also reads a bit like one last ad: it arrives with the coin sunk and the spotlight back on it.

Rockstar and Take-Two are still silent, and the court docket hasn't moved since August (Digital Citizen). We'll update this story if that changes.

In the meantime, same advice as always: don't buy the coin and don't download anything claiming to be the game. If spoilers worry you, mute "Cyberleek" and "GTA 6 ending" on social media for the next few weeks.
