Edge reported it in issue 430 (Oct 29, 2026), after visiting Rockstar North: Phil Hooker, one of the heads of development and the person responsible for the game's stability, spends much of his time waiting for buses to check they arrive when expected, and says he has memorized all the routes. Aaron Garbut, also a head of development, gives it as an example of roleplay: buying cigarettes and beer at the shop and spending the day on the train. Rockstar hasn't said whether tickets cost money, how many lines there are or whether it works as fast travel.
