GTA VI will not unlock everywhere at once; New Zealand can play up to 19 hours early
PlayStation Store listings show 15 unlock windows. New Zealand opens at 11:00 UTC on November 18; Mexico follows 19 hours later. Rockstar has not posted that timetable.

What happened
GTAVice pulled timestamps from regional PlayStation Store pages. Digital GTA VI on PS5 does not go live in one worldwide instant. There are 15 windows, from 11:00 UTC on November 18 to 06:00 UTC on November 19. Almost 19 hours between first and last.
Eurogamer and VICE checked the same reading. Unlock time follows the PlayStation account region, not the country you are sitting in.
What is confirmed
Rockstar still has November 19, 2026 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, and digital preload on November 12. That comes from its Newswire.
Rockstar has not signed off the hour-by-hour chart. Those times come from Store listings, collected by GTAVice on September 7-8.
Useful windows:
- New Zealand: Nov 18, 11:00 UTC (Nov 19, 12:00am NZDT)
- Eastern Australia: Nov 18, 13:00 UTC
- Japan and South Korea: Nov 18, 15:00 UTC
- Spain and much of Europe: Nov 18, 23:00 UTC (Nov 19, 12:00am CET)
- UK and Ireland: Nov 19, 00:00 UTC
- US and Canada: Nov 19, 05:00 UTC (midnight ET; 9:00pm PT on Nov 18 on the West Coast)
- Mexico and parts of Central America: Nov 19, 06:00 UTC
What we cannot say yet
Sony or Rockstar can still move those stamps. GTAVice also lists stores with no timestamp (Bahrain, China, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar).
The New Zealand workaround is not a hidden unlock. On Xbox, changing the console region often does it. On PS5 you cannot change an account's country after creation, so you would need a NZ account and NZ store payment. Changing the console clock does not move the unlock.
Why it matters
A Spanish or UK store pre-order unlocks at that store's midnight, not at New Zealand's first minute. Anyone dodging spoilers has almost a day between Kiwi launch and Mexico.
