South Park airs new GTA VI gameplay: Jason smacks a pedestrian with a bag of dog poop

Status: Confirmed. The footage is from the game and was supplied by Rockstar, which gets a special thanks in the episode's credits (Kotaku, GTA Boom).

South Park, rebranded as South America this season, aired about 25 seconds of new GTA VI gameplay on Wednesday, October 28. It turned up in "Guinea Pig on a Stick," the fourth episode of Season 29, with no advance hype.

What it shows

According to RockstarINTEL, there are three shots:

• Jason and Lucia driving around Vice City, a shot already seen in the Extended Look.
• Jason walking along a Vice City beach, on the player camera, with a huge number of people and props around him.
• A dog doing its business. The owner bags it up. Jason throws the food he was eating at him, the man drops the bag, and Jason grabs it and smashes it into his face.

It's dumb, but it shows something we hadn't seen: dogs poop, and you can use it as a weapon in a fight. RDR2's horses already did their business.

A season-long running gag

GTA VI has been a running bit all season. In the premiere, characters kept saying "things will get better in November," a nod to the launch. In this episode the boys and the adults watch the clip raving about the graphics, and Cartman gives it his own unprintable seal of approval (GTA Boom).

The character who introduces the clip is voiced by Tish Hicks, the narrator of GTA V's gameplay videos, according to RockstarINTEL.

Rockstar rarely hands out gameplay, let alone to a cartoon. The South Park clip adds to everything it's been showing these weeks, like the police dogs and the rest of Edge's feature.
