The company also offered a notable progress update: it is getting the game finished and says it is “nearly there.” That is an official indication of progress, but it is not an announcement that GTA VI has gone gold, completed every production stage, or cannot receive further changes before launch.

Rockstar reiterated two previously announced milestones:

• GTA VI: An Extended Look will be shown tomorrow, August 27.
• The game remains scheduled for release on November 19, 2026.

What this confirms about the leaks

Before this statement, the clearest primary evidence was Take-Two's legal response: content removals and four DMCA proceedings directed at Microsoft, Discord, Google, and X. That showed the company was asserting rights over specific items, but it was not a broad public confirmation of everything attributed to Cyberleek.

The new statement supports a more precise conclusion: Rockstar acknowledges that GTA VI gameplay videos leaked. It also warns that some spoilers may now affect the intended game experience and asks players to wait until release to experience the game for themselves.

That acknowledgement does not automatically authenticate everything posted during the campaign. Maps, inferred mechanics, development-version claims, and the actor's wider story still require individual evidence.

What Rockstar did not confirm

• a playable build in the actor's possession;
