The Miami Heat will play as Vice City against the Bucks on the eve of GTA VI

The Miami Heat won't be the Miami Heat for one night. On November 18, 2026, the eve of Grand Theft Auto VI's launch, the team will play as Vice City against the Milwaukee Bucks at Kaseya Center, in a brand-new uniform and on a court built just for that game. The Heat announced it on their official site as "A Night in Vice City," in partnership with Rockstar Games.

What's confirmed

• When: Wednesday, November 18, 2026, at 7 PM Eastern. In the UK that's midnight going into November 19, launch day.
• Where: Kaseya Center, which the Heat call "Vice City" in the announcement.
• Opponent: the Milwaukee Bucks.
• Broadcast: nationally on ESPN, plus WPLG Local 10 on local TV and 104.3 WQAM on radio.
• Uniform: completely new and still under wraps. The site only shows a silhouette.
• Court: special hardwood. In the Heat's words, "one court, one night only."
• Tickets: on sale through Ticketmaster.

The Heat call it a never-been-done-before event on the eve of the year's most anticipated launch. Special activities start inside the arena on Opening Night, with more surprises on November 18 that haven't been detailed yet.

Giannis against his old team

There's a basketball storyline too: it will be Giannis Antetokounmpo's first game against the Bucks since his trade to Miami this summer (ESPN). Rockstar picked a night that was already going to be one of the most-watched on the schedule.

Vice City gear at the Heat store

Starting today, the Heat store (in person and online) sells a Vice City collection under its Court Culture line. According to VGTimes, it's 14 pieces from $45 to $110:

• "Welcome to Vice City," "I Love Vice City," "Vice City Grill" and "Vice City Souvenir" tees, $45 to $55.
• A black hoodie with the neon logo, $100.
• New Era caps ("Vice City Logo," "Goodtime State" and "Billiards"), $50.
• Pieces made with the Duvin brand, topping out at $110 for the "Welcome to Vice City" alligator crewneck.

Rockstar's Miami campaign keeps going

It's the latest step in a campaign that has been taking over Miami for weeks. Rockstar paid $975,000 for the "Welcome to Vice City" sign that has topped Kaseya Center since September 22 (Forbes), and it makes a lot more sense now: that's the exact arena where the Heat will play as Vice City.

The game has its own arena, too: the Sahara Arena, home of the Vice City Narcos, already seen in the first trailer (it's the cover image of this story).
