GTA VI vehicles: the cars, bikes and boats seen so far

Rockstar has published no GTA VI vehicle list: no cars, no models, no count. What does exist are vehicles seen with a HUD and controls in the official video, a coastal state full of water and swamp, and a record of driving, tuning and garages you can verify by playing GTA V, GTA IV and San Andreas.

The vehicles shown under player control

In An Extended Look, the official twenty-six-and-a-half-minute video that premiered on August 27, 2026, at least five vehicles appear with the player at the controls or with a dedicated interface: an airboat crossing the swamp with the minimap active, a jet ski, a kayak, a motocross bike in a race with a scoreboard, and a circuit race showing lap, position and a timer. That confirms they exist and can be driven; it says nothing about how many there are or what they're called.

Brands: never real ones in GTA

The series licenses no real manufacturers. GTA V's vehicles belong to invented marques (Declasse, Vapid, Pegassi, Bravado) parodying real ones in name and silhouette. Rockstar has confirmed no GTA VI brands, but expecting the same scheme is a reasonable EXPECTATION: there isn't a single officially licensed car anywhere in the modern series.

How driving changed between GTA IV and GTA V

GTA IV is the heavy-driving GTA: bodies that roll, noses that dive under braking, and rear ends that step out with little provocation. GTA V stiffened the suspension and made handling far grippier and more predictable, closer to a racing game. Two opposite philosophies from the same studio, which is why the question of which one GTA VI will resemble has no answer today: Rockstar hasn't spoken about driving physics.

Tuning: from San Andreas to Los Santos Customs

San Andreas spread tuning across shops specialised by car type, with TransFender for ordinary vehicles and Wheel Arch Angels or Loco Low Co for sports cars and lowriders. GTA V unified it in Los Santos Customs: engine, transmission, brakes, turbo, suspension, armour, paint and wheels in one place, with liveries and plates added in GTA Online. Nothing about vehicle customisation in GTA VI has been announced.

Garages, ownership and cars that vanish

Storing a car is a mechanic with its own history. In San Andreas and GTA IV the house garage kept whatever fitted, with a reputation for swallowing vehicles when the save glitched. GTA V tied garages to purchased properties and marked each protagonist's personal vehicle on the map. In GTA Online, Mors Mutual insurance lets you recover a destroyed car for a deductible. None of this is confirmed for GTA VI.

Air and water: what each entry let you pilot

San Andreas was the leap: planes, light aircraft, jets and parachutes inside one map. GTA IV walked it back and left only helicopters, with no flyable planes. GTA V restored full aviation and added a submarine. For GTA VI there's one small firm fact: the official video shows a parachute jump over Vice City and several watercraft, which fits a state of coast, keys and wetlands.

How to read the car lists going around

Searching for GTA VI vehicles returns very long lists with specific names. Almost all of them lean on the material leaked in 2022, which was a build in development, or on extrapolating GTA V's catalogue. None is official, and a vehicle that existed in an internal compilation four years ago guarantees nothing about the finished game. The real list becomes known when the game is on sale.

Frequently asked questions

Is there an official GTA VI vehicle list?
No. Rockstar has published no vehicle catalogue, no counts and no model names. The lists going around come from the 2022 leaked material or from extrapolating GTA V's fleet, and none of them is official.
Which GTA VI vehicles have been seen in motion?
The official August 2026 video shows an airboat, a jet ski, a kayak and a motocross bike being ridden in a race, plus a circuit race with its own scoreboard. Those are scenes with a HUD or visible controls.
Will cars be customisable in GTA VI?
Not confirmed. The record is solid: San Andreas had specialised shops and GTA V concentrated everything in Los Santos Customs. That GTA VI keeps the habit is an expectation, not an announcement.
Will there be real car brands?
There never have been in the modern series: GTA's manufacturers are invented and parody real ones. Rockstar hasn't confirmed GTA VI's brands, but a turn towards licensed cars would be a change without precedent in the series.
Can you fly planes in GTA VI?
Not confirmed. San Andreas and GTA V let you fly planes and jets; GTA IV removed them and left only helicopters. The official GTA VI video shows a parachute jump, but no aircraft flown by the player.
Do Jason and Lucia share their cars?
Rockstar has confirmed they share money, hideouts and wanted level. About vehicles it has said nothing, so whether each has their own garage or the fleet is common remains unknown.
