GTA VI artists so far: trailer music, the September 15 posts, and names that are still leaks

Official trailers and An Extended Look already used a long list of tracks. On September 15 another group of musicians posted GTA VI art. The 2022 leak list is a third pile. Those three things are not the same confirmation.

Rockstar has now revealed its first six radio stations (see the update below), but still no full station list or soundtrack. What exists today sits in three buckets that keep getting mashed together online.

October 8 update: Rockstar confirms the first stations

Rockstar has revealed GTA VI's first six radio stations with audio previews on its site, which confirms a whole batch of artists at once. Full details in this story.

As hosts, according to the press release reprinted by GameTyrant and Rolling Stone: Bad Bunny and RaiNao (Cocoteo FM); Morgan Wallen, Lana Del Rey and Jeremy Dufrene (Back Country Radio); Burna Boy and Palms Trax (AfroBank FM); Slayer's Kerry King and Tom Araya (The Chamber 106.6); Robyn and Alex Consani (Flash FM); and Trick Daddy and Trina (Dirty South Classics).

With songs in the previews: Bad Bunny, Axel Rulay, Farruko, El Alfa, Romeo Santos, El Chaval de la Bachata, David Allan Coe, Loretta Lynn, Hank Williams Jr., Waylon Jennings, Asake, Pat Thomas, Ebo Taylor, DJ Lag, Robot Boii, Kamo Mphela, Black Sabbath, Pantera, Slayer, Charli xcx, MGMT, Zara Larsson, PinkPantheress, David Banner, Lil' Flip, JT Money, Solé, DJ Khaled, Rick Ross and Pitbull.

That means Bad Bunny is no longer just a name from the 2022 leak: Rockstar confirms him with a song ("EoO") and, per the press release, as a host. And Morgan Wallen, who posted game art on September 15, now has a role: he's MW on Back Country Radio.

Music Rockstar has already used

Trailers and An Extended Look (August 27) have used tracks from Tom Petty, The Pointer Sisters, Tammy Wynette, Joan Jett, Wang Chung, Jay Ferguson, Zenglen, Depeche Mode, Prefab Sprout, Cliff Richard, Phil Collins, Def Leppard, The Bellamy Brothers, Birdman and Lil Wayne, Sexyy Red and Tay Keith, Kodak Black, Captain & Tennille, Aluna and Jayda G, Elderbrook and Bob Moses, and Chimbala and Omega.

That is music in official videos. It is not a station assignment. For the trailer-by-trailer breakdown, see the music guide.

The September 15 posts

On September 15, Travis Scott, Morgan Wallen, Future, Metro Boomin, Rauw Alejandro, CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso, Keith Richards, PinkPantheress, and Yung Lean posted official-looking GTA VI art. Several tagged Rockstar. None of them said whether that means a song, a station, or an in-game appearance.

That drop, and the Spotify billboards that followed a day later, are covered here.

Names that are still leaks

The Weeknd, Bon Jovi, Stevie Nicks, Tate McRae, and Deep Purple show up in 2022 leak material from an unfinished build. Rockstar has not confirmed them, and neither have the artists. Bad Bunny was on this list until October 8, when Rockstar confirmed him (see above).

The wider lists circulating on X (including one picked up by GamingBible) mix those three buckets. If a name only exists in the leak, it stays a rumor.

Cardi B and Fuerza Regida: from rumor to confirmed

Since Rockstar announced GTA VI: The Album on September 17, only 6 of its 34 songs are public. The other 28 are still unannounced, and on October 4 Spotify briefly showed two more names before pulling the information.

According to Notebookcheck, citing X user ben/videotech, the album's Spotify listing showed Cardi B on track 19 and Fuerza Regida on track 10, with no song titles. Player. One notes that Rockstar, Take-Two and Spotify have not commented.

On October 7, Fuerza Regida posted an Instagram video of a Ferrari with a "Vice City" license plate, which Consequence reads as a nod to their involvement. The band didn't spell it out.

October 9 update: confirmed. On October 8 both songs came out as album singles: "Don't Chart", by Cardi B, and "Suzuki", by Fuerza Regida. That makes 8 of the 34 songs public. Rockstar hasn't said whether they'll also play on an in-game station.
