GTA VI reveals its first six radio stations: Bad Bunny, Lana Del Rey and Slayer on the mic, plus on-foot radio for the first time
Rockstar has revealed Cocoteo FM, Back Country Radio, AfroBank FM, The Chamber 106.6, Flash FM and Dirty South Classics, with audio previews on its site. For the first time in the series, you'll be able to listen on foot, and on-demand podcasts are coming too.

Status: Confirmed. Announced by Rockstar on its Newswire and in the music section of the official GTA VI site.
Rockstar has finally opened up Grand Theft Auto VI's radio. Starting today, the official site has previews of six stations, with their hosts and some of the songs that will play across Leonida. It also comes with two things the series has never had: on-foot radio and on-demand podcasts.
The six stations
Cocoteo FM. Leonida's home for modern Latin music: bachata, merengue, dembow and reggaeton. Its tagline: "el party que nunca se apaga". Hosted by El Martillo and La Gata. In the preview: Bad Bunny ("EoO"), Axel Rulay with Farruko and El Alfa ("Si Es Trucho Es Trucho (Remix)") and Romeo Santos with El Chaval de la Bachata ("Canalla").
Back Country Radio. Renegade country for the Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn and beyond. Hosted by MW and Delta Dawne, with Mud Dog Mike, "roving reporter, swamp meteorologist and Delta's not-so-secret lover", reporting from his airboat. In the preview: David Allan Coe, Loretta Lynn, and Hank Williams Jr. with Waylon Jennings.
AfroBank FM. African music, from 20th-century classics to contemporary sounds like amapiano and 3-step. Hosted by Burna and Palmsy. In the preview: Asake ("Joha"), Pat Thomas with Ebo Taylor ("Gye Wani") and DJ Lag and Robot Boii with Kamo Mphela ("Shay'sana").
The Chamber 106.6. "Crushing metal has landed in Leonida": classic metal from the '80s and beyond. Hosted by DJ Kerry and DJ Tom. It's the first GTA VI station with a known frequency. In the preview: Black Sabbath ("I"), Pantera ("I'm Broken") and Slayer ("Raining Blood").
Flash FM. "A Vice City institution" with the best in pop. The pop station from GTA: Vice City (2002) is back, now hosted by Robyn and Alex. In the preview: Charli xcx ("Good Ones"), MGMT ("Electric Feel") and Zara Larsson with PinkPantheress ("Midnight Sun (Girls Trip)").
Dirty South Classics. Southern rap and hip-hop classics "with a little southern hospitality". Hosted by Trick and Trina. In the preview: David Banner with Lil' Flip ("Like A Pimp"), JT Money with Solé ("Who Dat") and DJ Khaled with Trick Daddy, Rick Ross and Pitbull ("Born N Raised").
Who's behind the mic
The host names are a hint, and according to the press release reprinted by GameTyrant and Rolling Stone, the voices are:
- Bad Bunny (El Martillo) and RaiNao (La Gata) on Cocoteo FM.
- Morgan Wallen (MW), Lana Del Rey (Delta Dawne) and Jeremy Dufrene (Mud Dog Mike) on Back Country Radio.
- Burna Boy (Burna) and Palms Trax (Palmsy) on AfroBank FM.
- Slayer's Kerry King and Tom Araya on The Chamber 106.6.
- Robyn and Alex Consani on Flash FM.
- Trick Daddy and Trina on Dirty South Classics.
On-foot radio and podcasts
For the first time in the series, the radio doesn't stay in the car. Jason and Lucia can listen to stations on foot, with headphones connected to their phones. Also a first: on-demand podcasts you can play in a vehicle or while walking (Gematsu, Kotaku).
That's not all of them
These six are just a preview. According to the press release, the full radio will span classic rock, modern hip-hop, pop, metal, dance, Latin, '80s, electronic, blues, ballads and talk radio. Rockstar also mentions a dynamic score and more singles from Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album.
Two of the six, Back Country Radio and Dirty South Classics, already showed up on the radio wheel in the August leak. They're now confirmed.
Still to be confirmed
- How many stations there will be in total, and their names.
- The full tracklist for each station.
- The names and hosts of the podcasts.
- Whether Vice City FM, seen in An Extended Look, will be a playable station or is another way of referring to Flash FM.
Which one are you tuning into first? Let's talk about it in the forum.
