The trailer everyone expected in June… didn't come

Half the community assumed Grand Theft Auto VI's Trailer 3 would drop on June 25, alongside pre-orders going live. It didn't: Rockstar opened reservations, revealed the cover art and logo… and kept the trailer in the drawer.

What we know today

• No official date. Rockstar hasn't confirmed when the next video arrives.
• The window most cited by specialized outlets is late July to mid-August 2026.
• The expectation is a cinematic, story-focused preview —more characters, more world— with a pure gameplay breakdown likely coming in a separate video closer to launch.

Why the silence isn't a bad sign

With the November 19 date reaffirmed by Take-Two and pre-orders already running, Rockstar doesn't need to rush: nearly four months of campaign remain, and every marketing beat is being rationed. The first two trailers broke viewing records; the third will aim for the same.
