Jason and Lucia: who are the leads of GTA 6

A duo, not a lone hero

For the first time in the mainline series, Grand Theft Auto VI is played through two protagonists: Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval. Rockstar frames them as a criminal couple with chemistry that echoes Bonnie and Clyde.

Lucia Caminos

Lucia is the series' first non-optional female protagonist. The first trailer shows her leaving prison with a line the community already loves: "bad luck, I guess." Her story starts at the bottom, chasing a score that could change her life.

Jason Duval

Jason is her partner and counterweight: someone already living inside Leonida's criminal world. The relationship between them —loyalty, tension, shared ambition— is the emotional core Rockstar has placed at the center of the game.

A supporting cast with personality

Around the couple, the trailers have shown characterful side figures such as music mogul Boobie Ike, plus the studio's trademark human wildlife: influencers, grifters and "Leonida Man" in pure Florida style.

What we still don't know

Rockstar hasn't yet detailed how control switches between Jason and Lucia, or how much freedom we'll get with each. Leonida Hub will follow every cast reveal.
