The GTA 6 map: Leonida, Vice City and the six confirmed regions
A whole state called Leonida
The Grand Theft Auto VI map is the fictional state of Leonida, Rockstar's take on Florida. It's the stage for the Bonnie-and-Clyde-style crime thriller led by Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval.
The six confirmed regions
Rockstar has officially named six areas:
- Vice City — the Miami-inspired urban core: beaches, nightlife and neon. The heart of the map.
- Leonida Keys — a Florida Keys–style island chain linked by bridges and coastal highways.
- Grassrivers — Everglades-style wetlands and swamps.
- Port Gellhorn — a port and industrial zone.
- Hamlet — small-town, rural America.
- Kelly County — agricultural, wooded interior.
Bigger and more alive
Rockstar promises the series' most ambitious world, with distinct biomes —city, beach, swamp, countryside— and a density of detail fit for the current generation. The exact size and interior counts circulating online are not officially confirmed, so we take them with a pinch of salt.
Why it matters
A map that blends neon Miami with swamps and rural interior leaves room for wildly different missions. Leonida Hub will keep mapping each region as Rockstar releases more.
