Low L-shaped hotel with a pool and round terrace over a canal
Hotels5 of 16

Its vertical sign is legible in the official Vice City 03 screenshot: a brick fin with white letters at the top of the staircase. It has a round deck over the canal with loungers and umbrellas and a street with a bus stop in front. A taller modern glass hotel rises behind it, and Firefly Plaza's sign is legible in the background. It has not appeared in any trailer.

Why it matches

A 1950s Googie motel on Collins Avenue, by a canal: it recalls the Motel Ankara, now part of The Gates Hotel South Beach, next to the Collins Canal. Both names are capitals: Ankara, Turkey's, and Valletta, here with a single t, Malta's.

Clue

The Googie hotel on the canal in the Vice City 03 screenshot.

Based on

Motel Ankara (The Gates Hotel South Beach), 2360 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach

Trivia

  • Firefly Plaza's sign is legible in the background of the same screenshot.
