Inside it sit Ocean Beach, its southern district, and Washington Beach. It is the most repeated place in the trailers: the pool and sand of the first one, Jason with the barbell in the second, and three shots in the Launch Trailer, at night (0:18), with the AudaCity biplane over the beach (0:55) and in the logo shot (1:19). In An Extended Look, Jason and Lucia meet Brian and Lori on the Effluvia rooftop. For the player, it is the map's area of Art Deco hotels, beach and nightlife.

Why it matches

A separate city on a barrier island facing the big city, with its own police and beach districts: it recalls Miami Beach's relationship with Miami, and the freeway signs put it the same way ("Vice Beaches").

Trivia

  • I-97 signs point to "Vice Beaches" (Trailer 1, 0:51).
  • Ocean Beach and Washington Beach are districts of Vice Beach, not separate cities.
