Its name appears on a northbound freeway sign in the first trailer (1:07) and on a shopping mall sign, in an overhead shot from a car with Leonard County Sheriff vehicles around (1:00). In Trailer 2 it shows up again on a northbound Interstate 97 sign.

Why it matches

Planned communities, malls and freeways north of the big city: it recalls southern Broward County, with cities like Pembroke Pines or Miramar. The name, "waning sands", seems to point to the beach erosion along Broward's coast.
