Highway gantry with exits to the airport, Downtown and Peacock Bay, and a plane coming in to land

It is legible in Trailer 2 (0:37), on the Interstate 97 overhead gantry a landing plane flies over: the exit 3 panel reads "SW 9th Ave", Southside and Peacock Bay, next to the U.S. 35 panel for the airport and Ambrosia and the downtown one. The sign groups it with Southside at the same exit, so the two neighborhoods sit close together.

Why it matches

It recalls Coconut Grove: the name seems to come from Peacock Park, the bayside park in Coconut Grove, and from the peacocks that roam the neighborhood.

Clue

The exit 3 neighborhood, next to Southside.

Trivia

  • The same sign is the one that names Southside in the trailer.
  • In the 1997 Vice City, the neighborhood standing in for Coconut Grove was called Banana Grove.
